Charity fund

Charitable fund “BRALIUKAI” is founded on purpose to attach financial resources for the popularization of basketball. 5-years mission of the fund is to promote physical and mental health of society, solidarity of twinned nations – Latvian and Lithuanian, with a help of basketball.

Fund does not have character of profit acquisition and basically it will act in Latvia and Lithuania. In order to develop the activity, the fund will address for support to state and public organizations, merchants and patrons. Popular journalists, sportsmen, managers of sport, trainers, as well as other well-known personalities will be involved in the work of fund.

One of the most important principles of the operation of fund is its transparency. In section FUND of the homepage You can find the current goals of fund, section SUPPORTERS – the persons and companies which have helped us, section ‘beginning’ – shows how many finances have been collected for each goal of the fund, but in section EVENTS we will give account for spent money.

Basketball club "Žalgiris"

Kaunas "Žalgiris" is Lithuanian basketball club, which is based in Kaunas. It has been established in 1944. "Žalgiris" is all the time titled team of Lithuanian basketball: LKL champions – 14 times, PSRS champions – 5 times, champions of Euroleague – 1 time, winners of European cup – 1 time, BBL champions – 5 times, NEBL champions – 1 time.

Kaunas "Žalgiris" is basketball team rich in traditions,  brand of Lithuania that is recognized all over the world.

"Žalgiris” is our favourite basketball team  from our childhood. We grew up in a time when players such as Arvidas Sabonis, Valdemaras Chomicius and Rimas Kurtinaitis played in BC Žalgiris. Now we root for the new generation of BC Žalgiris – Saulius Stombergas, brothers Lavrinovicius, Mindaugam Kuzminskam, etc.

We love this team with all our heart. It has given to us emotions, joy of living, energy and promoted love towards Lithuania. In our opinion Kaunas “Žalgiris” is the pride of Lithuanian society – icon which symbolizes the fight in life.

We want to support the team with the amount of 25 000 euros, which is the money taken from the team in relation to our rooting incident. More information about it is available in section  EVENTS.

We undertake liability about this event and want to retaliate with a good action. This option makes us happy."
